KNUTSFORD Football Club's first team manager Stuart Dow has been selected by the Mid-Cheshire League as manager of its Representative XI.
The job, which Stuart will combine with his Knutsford role, involves selecting and running the league team in games against other amateur leagues. One of his first tasks will probably be preparing a side to face great rivals the West Cheshire League in the Cooper Smith Annual Challenge Cup game, always an eagerly awaited clash.
Then there will be another attempt to claim the FA National League System Cup.
The trophy was won by Mid-Cheshire in the competition's inaugural year in 2004.
Macclesfield Borough Council has granted planning permission for the proposed clubhouse extension, including a spectators' lounge.
Chairman Lees Ingles said: "That this is a huge project is evident in the projected minimum cost of £40,000 to £50,000."
