MOBBERLEY crashed out of the John North U17 Trophy on Wednesday evening to a strong Northwich side.
The team went into bat first and were struggling on 9 for 4, with only opener Barron causing any resistance.
Edwards joined him at the crease to move the score on to 38. But when he was caught in the deep a low score was on the cards. Captain Berrisford-Ince came in at number 10 and played some superb shots to reach 19 not out. But 80 was never going to be enough for victory.
Mobberley started their bowling attack in the worst possible way, with some loose deliveries.
French made up for his duck during batting by bowling the Northwich opener.
Baker took a fine catch off the bowling of Jenyons, but by now the game was over.
