A MOORE nursery is top of the class after being awarded a national accolade.
Children and staff at the Moore Village Pre-school celebrated on Monday when they were presented with the national certificate recognising their 'excellent' provision for under fives education.
Lady Daresbury awarded the pre-school with the national stamp of approval at the Milner Institute.
Steve Parry, chairman at Moore Village Pre-school said: "The Moore Village Pre-school is absolutely delighted to receive the Pre-school Learning Alliance's accreditation award.
"We already offer - and aim to continue to offer - a caring, stimulating environment for our children to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually in preparation for school."
The scheme is the first of its kind to recognise the importance of linking early years learning with high-quality care and the significance of involving parents.
