CARLSBERG UK Open League Division 3 team Last Orders Inn have gained an unwanted dominoes record.

In the last four weeks they have had a bye and have been whitewashed on three occasions.

Premier Darts leading pair Pioneers Club and Delamere remain separated by one point after 6-2 victories at the expense of bottom pair Leisure A and Kings A.

Commercial, the third part of a runaway trio for the title, beat Amalgamated B 5-3 helped by Mark Jodrill who won with this seasons best performance of 11 and 18 dart legs and a 180.

Rob Clarke (Pioneers) and Dave Hughes (Hawk) hit 17 darters and Andy Cooke (Hawk) won in 17 and 18 darts.

Also hitting 18 dart legs were Pete Galloway (Hawk), Darren Beesley (Commercial), John Speed (Pioneers) and Delamere duo Rob Arrowsmith and Kevin Reade.

Maximum 180's were registered by Tony Richardson (Pioneers), Keith Fulham (Kings A) and Lady A pair Steve Thompson and Tony Pogonowski.

Division One Darts potential champions Rockwood maintained top form by beating bottom team George 6-2 to open up a six points buffer over main rivals Raven A, who beat ASLEF Leisure 5-3.

Third placed Amalgamated A drop five points off the pace after a 5-3 reverse to visitors Bridge A.

Raven A pair Tom Kelly and Paul Gilligan hit 18 dart legs, Paul including a 180 in his.

Paul Sheehan (Rockwood) hit a 130 checkout and Ken Wrighton (Amalgamated A) hit a 180.

The leading trio in Division Two Darts all won.

Pacemakers British Lion B won the last three games in a 5-3 victory at Coppenhall Leighton and LMR Sports and Belle Vue hit six apiece against North Ward A and Cross Keys A.

Phil Shaw (Flying Lady B) hit a 180.

Division Three Darts toppers Last Orders beat Vine C 6-2 to go four points clear of Sydney Arms B, up from third as a result of a 5-3 win at Bridge C.

Third placed Kings B beat Brunel 6-2 and with a match in hand are in a very strong position.

Shaun Young (Brunel) won with a 114 checkout.

Pacemakers Cheshire Cheese strengthened their position in Division Four Darts with a 6-2 defeat of bottom team Old Oddfellows.

Second placed Queens Park GC beat Cross Keys B 6-2 to overtake Horse Shoe, whose cancelled game will be the subject of further enquiries.

Dean Smith (Queens Park GC) hit a 180.

Decent 6-2 victories over visiting RAOB Club, Liberal C and Crosville Club leaves Division Five Darts top places unchanged.

Leaders Polish Club are seven points clear of Cosey and the Junction in a two from three situation for honours as fourth placed Lion & Swan are well adrift.

Premier Dominoes toppers Kings A had to pull out all the stops to scramble a draw at Delamere.

Leisure A beat Pioneers 6-2 to move up to second spot, three points adrift of the leaders.

The top two in Division One Dominoes met resulting in Nantwich Road retaking top spot after a 6-2 win which demoted Crown to second, three points off the pace.

Third placed Raven A also hit six against ASLEF Leisure to reduce their deficit on the Crown to a single point.

Division Two Dominoes pacemakers Hop Pole beat Flying Lady B 5-3 to go two points clear of Nags Head B, who replace British Lion A in second spot after beating them 5-3.

Bridge C stay top of Division Three Dominoes on matches won after beating Sydney Arms B 5-3, but have been joined on points by Vine C, who whitewashed hosts Last Orders.

Third placed Kings Arms B beat Brunel 5-3 and as at darts hold a very strong position as they have a match in hand.

Division Four Dominoes top two Old Oddfellows and Queens Park Golf Club lost 5-3 to Cheshire Cheese and Cross Keys B, with the Cheese now trailing Queens Park on matches won only.

Leaders Cosey slipped up when RAOB Club recovered from 4-2 down to draw in Division Five Dominoes.

Second placed Polish Club gained a 6-2 double over Liberal C, but are seven points adrift of the leaders.

Third placed Lions & Swan drop six points behind after letting slip a 4-1 lead in a drawn clash with Vine B.

Looking ahead to the winter season, the league currently has four vacancies.

In August all current teams will be asked to confirm participation in the winter league, which should start on Monday, September 4.

If more teams fall by the wayside it may be necessary to reduce the number of divisions, unless we get four applications from new teams.
