HASLINGTON picked up the victory they needed with a six-wicket success at home to Hanford.
Professional Sohail Tanvir picked up 5-45 and with Mohammed Ali chipping in 3-13, the visitors were blown away in some style, last Saturday.
In fact extras top scored for Hanford, with only opener Steve Knighton (21) Roger Davis (13) and no 9 Colin Keates (16) into double figures.
Dave Moreton also deserves a mention as his 2-13 made quick inroads at the top of the order, setting the tone for a poor 104 all out.
The same man led the way, opening Haslington's response and seeing it through.
His unbeaten 36 proved the rock as Tanvir (16), Dean Bedson (14) and Tom Blackwood (20) got them home to 20 points.
They travel to Caverswall on Saturday with a cup clash at home to Burslem on Sunday.
