NANTWICH made sure of no further embarrassment with a comprehensive win over Bramhall.

Is that a Jekyll and Hyde performance or what?

The Dabbers hit back from a disastrous defeat against Toft by beating their replacements at the foot of the ECB Premier table.

Outstanding Aussie all-rounder Steve Paulsen was the key man once again at Whithouse Lane, last Saturday.

His superb 6-64 kept the visitors' total down to just over two ton while a blistering innings of 95 made the Nantwich chase a formality.

Bramhall had made a decent start to justify their decision to bat first, openers Dawson (21) and Cantello (62) looking steady until Paulsen struck.

Next man Hall also delivered with 31 but Paulsen proved too much for the rest.

Number ten Bell hit an unbeaten 21 to get them to 206-9 off their 55 overs, but Nantwich were odds on to take it.

Although Simpson and Hamsphire both fell cheaply, Paulsen was in no mood to play around and found the right partner in Jeff Maynard who also smashed 80 to get the Dabbers almost home, closing on 210-4.

Heading for mid-table, Nantwich entertain Neston on Saturday.
