CHERIE Blair visited Reaseheath College's 'healthy eating' garden for children after it won the top award at the prestigious BBC Gardener's World Live 2006 show.
The PM's wife was one of many celebrities to be wowed by 'The Plot', which featured an innovative mixture of exotic fruit, flowers and vegetables planted in a dome-shape similar to the giant glasshouses of the Eden Project.
The garden, which took a coveted gold medal in the show garden category as well as best in show, was sponsored by Muller Dairy UK of Market Drayton.
Reaseheath's efforts to encourage youngsters into gardening were welcomed by TV gardening guru Monty Don, who said: "Reaseheath is building itself a reputation for creating well-crafted and original gardens and this one really captures your interest."
TV presenters Philip Schofield and Alan Titchmarsh also made special visits to admire the garden.
Hopes are high that the fruit and vegetable garden will also win top awards at the RHS Tatton Show.
