EARLESTOWN took on high-flying Worsley and produced an impressive victory in the Southport and District Cricket League.
Earlestown won the toss and put Worsley into bat.
Andy MaClaren produced a fine opening spell, taking 3 for 7, and at one point Worsley were 25 for 5.
The middle order of Ogden and Woods steadied the ship but, with the impressive Mike Dudley finishing with 3 for 27, Worsley finished on 129.
Earlestown quickly went about their business with Mike Dudley scoring 25 and the experienced MaClaren scoring highest with 40.
Although a couple of wickets fell, Dave Ashton and Jordan Pannell saw Earlestown home to victory.
Earlestown's seconds made it a successful day for the club with a winning draw against Dalton.
Earlestown amassed 157 with Stuart Swift among the runs with a solid 42. Dalton finished on 117 for 7 with Brent Eccleston taking 6 for 50.
