A THRILLING clash between Appleton and Frodsham cricket teams ended in a draw.
Pete Worrall's four wickets in seven balls left Frodsham hanging on with nine men down as they chased Appleton's 230 for 6 declared.
Appleton could not take the last wicket and were left to curse the loss of six overs due to rain.
During Appleton's innings Tom Lomas steadied the ship with 42 after both openers were sent packing with only 22 on the board.
Sixteen-year-old Chris McLellan took his debut first-team wicket for Appleton.
The second team's dreary batting displays continued as they could only muster 57 runs at Frodsham, who easily passed the total with six wickets down.
The third team managed to score more than 50 this week but were soundly beaten by Northwich's thirds.
