GRAPPENHALL fell to an eight-wicket defeat at Irby in the Cheshire County Cricket League Second Division on Saturday.
Ron Hart hit 67 for Grappers before they were bowled out for 152, with Paul Coles taking six of the wickets.
Indian star Vishal Sharma hit a remarkable unbeaten 129 out of 155 for 2 to steer Irby to victory.
Grappenhall's second team clinched a seven-wicket home win against Winnington Park's seconds, who were restricted to 156 for 9 in their innings.
Figures of 3 for 25 from A Tetlow and 3 for 56 from N Titchard helped to keep Park within reach and S Hartley struck 81 not out as Grappers passed the target for the loss of only three wickets.
The third team drew at home to Heaton Mersey Village, who made 172 for 7 in their innings before Mike Tyerman's 48 helped Grappenhall to 107 for 7.
