GRANGE will travel to face Cheshire Building Society Cricket Alliance Division Two leaders Disley at the weekend after drawing at home to Glazebury on Saturday.
Grange go into their clash with the only unbeaten side in the division in good form with the bat after declaring on 302 for 5 in only 42 overs against Glazebury at Grange Avenue.
Ian McCue smashed 18 fours and eight sixes on the way to an incredible 145 after putting on 73 for the opening wicket with Nigel Williams.
Dave Mason then made 47 in a 113-run partnership with McCue as Grange set an almost impossible target.
Glazebury fared well in their reply though and forced a draw as David Acton made 74 not out and Wayne Hargreaves amassed 51 after opener Jon Gibbons had scored 45.
The visitors never looked like winning and their final score of 203 for 6 meant Grange collected 13 points and Glazebury received seven.
Grange's second team take on Disley's seconds, who lead Division B, at the weekend after also being held to a draw at Heaton Mersey Village's seconds.
Grange were dismissed for only 132 in their innings despite 41 from stand-in captain Carl Peters but the home side found batting conditions no easier.
Carl Evans took 5 for 31 and, far from going for victory, Heaton Mersey Village were hanging on at the end with one wicket remaining as they finished on 105 for 9.
