WARRINGTON Borough bowls team made a successful start to their Federation League campaign on Sunday with a 19-13 victory over Middleton.
Grange's Alan Warburton was the home team's man of the match at Hollins Park with a 21-7 victory, closely followed by Mark Tinning, of Tetley, who won 21-9.
The away team claimed five winners, including St Oswalds' Chris Welsby, 21-9, and King and Queen's Dave Twigg, 21-14.
Borough's next match will be against Leeds on July 16, with further games to follow against Nuneaton and Swadlincote in August and September.
