SOCCER starlets at Bruche Community Primary School will be representing Warrington in a county competition on Saturday.
Bruche's girls from years five and six earned their place in the eighth annual Cheshire and Warrington Partnership Youth Games at Ellesmere Port after winning the Warrington Primary Schools soccer competition held at the Powerleague five-a-side centre in Long Lane, Orford.
Captain Jessica Hood led Bruche to a 2-0 success against St Margarets in the final, with the goals being scored by Eleanor Panting.
Hannah Threadgold, Emily Clough and Saphia Shaw also made appearances in the final and helped to fend off earlier competition from Brookacre, Long Lane, St Peters and Bruche B school teams.
Bruche's players and 175 other children from the town will be among 1,300 youngsters representing one of the seven respective boroughs across Cheshire in the youth games.
The games will involve a total of 10 sports, including rugby, athletics and cricket.
