YOBS are continuing to climb on top of Glyn Williams Pavilion - risking their safety and causing thousands of pounds worth of damage to the building.
Groups of youths have been spotted vandalising the community centre on Gorsey Lane.
The pavilion caretaker was met with a 'barrage of abuse' when asking a group who were playing football and riding motorcycles to get down off the roof last month.
Last month Burtonwood and Westbrook Parish Council promised to put a stop to the anti-social behaviour.
And now councillors believe they may have found a solution to the problem.
Westbrook councillor David Earl said: "We are looking into fitting an outrigger on the edge of the roof with brackets and wire in between to stop people getting up there.
"We need to stop it because they are putting themselves in a lot of danger and costing the council a lot of money.
"Hopefully this will be a solution to the problem."
Youngsters have tried to rip off security shutters and have twice pulled out flues on the roof.
The damage to the flues was so serious that one of the boilers providing heating and hot water to the centre's changing room facilities had to be replaced.
Anti-vandalism paint did little to stop the trouble, but it is hoped this latest measure will prove a success.
The council is now seeking planning permission to install the rigging.
In the meantime, it is asking anyone who sees the culprits vandalising the centre to contact the police and report them.
