AN ancient tradition was revived by a group of adventurous walkers who took part in Beating The Bounds of Latchford.
The event was organised by the chairman of Latchford Forum, Alderman John Taylor, with the help of the Ranger Service who led the walk. More than 40 walkers took part for the trail that led them along the canals and rivers of the area and were given a talk on the countryside, wildlife and the historical background of many of the main features.
Councillor Graham Welborn, who took part in the walk, said: "It was an eye-opening experience on our own doorstep."
It is now hoped that the Beating of the Bounds can become an annual event for local groups.
