IT might not be the shirts off their backs but children at a Padgate Primary school are giving their friends across the globe the next best thing.
St Oswald's RC Primary School pupils have teamed up to support a charity which provides children in Africa with vital school resources by way of a special backpack.
In the past few weeks, the children have been involved in a project where they fill up their old backpacks with school and leisure resources.
Bags have contained pens, pencils and jotters as well as towels, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and T shirts.
The children have been bringing the back backs into school where they are collected and sent to Africa.
