TRAVELLERS camped in Sandymoor have once again attracted criticism from fed-up villagers.
Up to 50 caravans reportedly parked up on land near the corner of Otterburn Street and Pitts Heath Lane late last Tuesday.
One resident claimed he saw cars wheel-spinning on the land, which is owner by English Partnerships. Another complained about rubbish being left out, barking dogs and a lack of police presence.
A Halton Council spokesman said it could only consider eviction notices if the travellers, who have since moved on, were on council-owned land.
