A CULCHETH soldier is looking forward to a career in the Army after passing out of one of the most elite training courses in the force.
Lewis Barlow, from Severn Road, lined up alongside 69 others for the tough training course to join the paras.
Only the 20-year-old and 14 others were left at the recent passing out parade.
The former pupil of St Lewis Primary School in Croft has now joined the six-platoon Second Battalion Parachute Regiment in Colchester and his family could not be prouder.
Mum Caroline Barlow said: "I think the numbers left by the end of the training course show how hard and how tough it was.
"He has done exceptionally well.
"He is really pleased but he said it had been harder than he had expected."
