A WARRANT has been put out for the arrest of a company director currently in custody in Portugal but wanted in connection with a number of offences in Warrington.
John Radford, aged 36, from Knightsbridge Court, Palmyra Square, is listed as a director of Link Publicity, based at Grosvenor Grange in Woolston, which specialises in corporate design and marketing for some of the biggest companies in the UK.
He was due to appear at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Friday to face charges of permitting the production of cannabis, possession of drugs with intent to supply and cultivating cannabis.
The charges were in connection with the seizure of hundreds of cannabis plants under a railway arch by Warrington Central train station.
The plants were found at a rented business property on Crown Street.
Raymond Mooney, aged 45, from Stillington Road, Toxteth, Liverpool, is charged with cultivating cannabis and being concerned in the production of cannabis in relation to the same incident.
Radford is also facing two charges of having counterfeit money in his custody or control. A warrant was put out for his arrest after he failed to appear in court and the case will not be progressed until he is taken into custody by Cheshire Police. He is still thought to be in custody in Lisbon following his arrest in connection with drug trafficking allegations.
