POLICE are appealing for help from the Polish community in Warrington to solve an alleged blackmailing plot.

Dawid Grzywaczewski, aged 22, and Mariuz Zaustowicsz, aged 21, both Polish nationals living in the town, have already appeared in court to face three charges of blackmail.

The charges are believed to revolve around alleged attempts to extort money in a menacing way from Polish people living in the town.

Police are also hunting two other men, who are both thought to be Polish nationals, in connection with the same incident.

They are described as well built, in their 20s with shaven heads. One of the men is said to have distinctive sideburns.

DS Adam Waller, who is investigating the incident, said police are keen to hear from anyone in the Polish community who may have any more information, which could help them with their investigation. He can be contacted on 01244 613934. DC Neil Radley is also dealing with the incident.
