A WINSFORD poet is celebrating after her work was selected to be included in a national collection of poetry.
Victorine Stubbs, 65, of Falcon Close, entered a competition for the National Poetry Anthology and was delighted when she discovered that she had won.
She said: "I saw in the Winsford Guardian a few months ago that they were asking for entries but I never thought I could win it.
"But I have done and I'm absolutely delighted.""
Victorine's first language is French and her poem Poetry Is Alive took a huge amount of time and effort.
She said: "English doesn't come that easily to me so for me to win this is absolutely fantastic for me and I can't wait to see it published."
