DAVENHAM 2nds produced their annual carnival day victory with a stunning performance against Marple at Butchers Style on Saturday.
Bowling first, stand in captain Mike Burgess led the way, removing all of the Marple top three in a devastating seven-over burst.
Davenham then had to wait almost 10 overs for a fourth wicket that came courtesy of the run out of Sugden, Marple's top scorer with 23.
Two wickets a piece for Adam Day and Ian Cwiklinski meant Marple never recovered with the innings finishing as the last two wickets fell with the score on 113.
In reply Davenham started strongly as Neil Murray and Jay Loveridge looked to get a move on chasing their total.
Murray fell for 15 then Screen set about reaching the total in a hurry. He scored 59 in 48 balls, including 22 in one over. Screen and Loveridge reached 116-1 inside 22 overs, wrapping up a comprehensive victory and securing 21 points for Davenham.
