WEAVERHAM 2nds travelled to league leaders Barrow and made them fight all the way for victory.
Batting on an unpredictable wicket, where runs were hard to come by, Weaverham could only manage 105-5.
Emlyn Roberts 28, Kenny Roberts 21, and Rob Hardley 19 not out were the leading batsmen on the day.
Barrow lost six wickets in their innings, Kenny Roberts took 2-28 and Gordon Allen, Rob Hardley and Brian Rogerson all picked up a wicket apiece.
A series of dropped catches towards the end of the Barrow innings, which ended on 106, prevented Weaverham getting an unlikely victory.
