WINNINGTON Park lost again as they hosted Urmston on a warm day at the Rec.

Winning the toss, Hayes elected to bat on another flat pitch.

Park started brightly with Baker and Evans taking the score to 30 before Evans fell to an Edgington slower ball.

Unfortunately for Winnington they lost two further wickets quickly.

Then Sinclair joined the party and started to find his form again and with Baker looking good at the other end Winnington moved into the batting points and were 120-4 when Sinclair fell.

The Park tail did not wag and they were bowled out for 148 with Baker scoring a lovely 86 and Urmston's Aussie import Ben O'Brien taking 48-4.

Winnington realised that this was a low score on a good pitch against the top side in the division.

Cowell and Tom Pilling bowled with pace but no luck, Hayes brought himself into the attack and got a wicket straight away with the pitch taking spin.

But Urmston never really looked in trouble as they reached their target with plenty of overs to spare.

They lost only three wickets, Hayes taking 39-3.

Winnington travel to Chester this weekend for what will be another tough game for the Parkers.
