RUNCORN'S Susan Thompson reinforced her reputation as the queen of the pool table this week.
The 36-year-old was crowned world champion for the seventh time after 11 days of competition in Blackpool.
Thompson had double cause for celebration as she also won the World Masters title at the event, beating Ireland's Emma Cunningham in each of the finals.
The Palacefields cue star, who has raised more than £10,000 for charity from exhibition events, will be aiming to improve her own speed pool world record at the Cherry Tree pub in Runcorn on July 27.
