POLICE are hunting a teenage boy who threatened to stab a chip shop customer in Latchford.
The attempted robbery took place at the Jin Tao chip shop, on Knutsford Road, at 9.45pm on Thursday, June 8.
A spokesman for Cheshire police said the woman he threatened had been the only customer inside the shop at the time.
She was approached by the boy who asked her for money. When she refused, he threatened to stab her before running off.
The Cheshire police spokesman said: "No weapon was seen during the incident."
The woman described the youth as between 15 and 19 years old, of slim build with shaven brown hair.
He was between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7in tall and had a spotty complexion.
The woman also said he was wearing a navy blue hooded top.
