PROBLEMS with nuisance youths will be made a priority by a Hartford police officer after residents called for action.
Trouble with youngsters was highlighted at the latest community action meeting (CAM) as being at the top of a list of village concerns.
Police community support officer Karen Nixon said she will take steps to find a solution.
She added: "We have concentrated on a number of different issues since starting the CAM process including traffic problems and anti-social behaviour.
"Residents gave some very positive feedback in respect of the progress made so far.
"This was very reassuring for me as the local PCSO because it means we are working in the right direction."
Karen said village successes so far, such as the monitoring of parking and traffic complaints, have been made possible thanks to varying techniques.
She added: "We use a variety of tactics to achieve results from high visibility patrols in the right place at the right time to using seizure and arrest powers.
"I will be working with partner agencies such as the youth service to try to come up with some long-term solutions to the latest problem area of nuisance youths."
