A WOMAN cyclist who may have witnessed a fatal road accident is being urged to come forward by the police.
Darren Perkins, aged 30, from Partington, was riding a Yamaha motorbike on Mill Lane in Lymm last Saturday when he was involved in a collision with a vintage Morris car.
Police believe he was travelling in a group of three motorcyclists, one of who, a 32-year-old man from Manchester, has been arrested for death by dangerous driving.
As a result of the police investigations, a motorbike has also been removed.
Another man, Richard McMahon, aged 28, has been charged with a section 39 assault following the incident, which took place at 4.35pm.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said they wished to make a direct appeal to the woman pedal cyclist who was believed to have been on or near Stage Lane at the time of the collision and is thought to have witnessed the incident.
The spokesman added: "We would also like to speak to anyone else who may have witnessed the incident or saw three motorbikes being ridden in the area at the time of the incident."
Anyone with any information should contact Sgt Mike Jones by calling 01244 643813.
The 32-year-old man arrested for death by dangerous driving has been bailed by police until August.
