THIEVES are locating satellite navigation systems left on display in people's cars all too easily, police have warned motorists.
In the past six months, 45 of the expensive, hi-tech pieces of equipment have been stolen in Widnes, with 18 also going missing in Runcorn.
Crime reduction experts say owners should always remove the portable sat nav systems and tell-tale extras from their cars when unattended and security mark all valuables.
