AN inspection of Thelwall New Road has been delayed.
The road has seen several accidents and Grappenhall and Thelwall Parish
Council has been campaigning for years for a crossing on the road.
They claim cars regularly speed on the road.
John Drake, capital team leader for Warrington Borough Council's transport service, said: "The assessment of Thelwall New Road has been rescheduled for mid June and will now be undertaken by external consultants.
"If the location is found to meet the council's criteria, the provision of a pedestrian crossing will be included and prioritized within the council's capital programme."
