SCHOOLS are urged to get involved in a historic project that will get children singing for peace.
The project, Song For Peace, has been created in partnership with teachers' union NASUWT, charity Youth Music and the Peace One Day organisation.
It aims to get children singing No Wars Will Stop Us Singing on the United International Day of Peace, Thursday, September 21.
Mike Hall, MP for Halton, said: "This innovative project provides a great opportunity for everyone to focus on seeking to resolve conflict within the family, at school, in the community and across the world.
"Engaging schools in singing to mark the International Day of Peace will not only keep this important message alive throughout the year but will send out a powerful message about young people working in harmony."
