LADY Daresbury was on hand to help a Moore school celebrate after it was awarded a top national certificate.
Moore Village Pre-school has been awarded the Pre-school Learning Alliance's national accreditation certificate for its excellent care.
Lady Daresbury was invited to present the certificate.
Only a handful of pre-schools in the region have received this award which recognises the importance of linking early years learning with high quality care.
The accreditation scheme was set up in 1992 and marks pre-schools in nearly 300 different aspects of quality including curriculum planning, quality of teaching and parental involvement. To gain the certificate, schools have to under take rigorous testing which takes up to two years to complete.
Stephen Parry, chairman of Moore Village Pre-school, said: "We are absolutely delighted to receive the Pre-School Learning Alliance's accreditation award.
"We already offer a caring, stimulating environment for our children to develop socially, emotionally and intellectually in preparation for school.
"I would like to thank all the parents and staff for their support and hard work in helping us to achieve this accreditation."
