WOMEN of Warrington are warming up for the town's first Starlight Walk in aid of St Rocco's Hospice.
More than 1,200 women will help turn the town pink tonight, Friday, when they set off from Victoria Park at midnight for the 13 mile trek around the town.
The route, led by former Queen of the jungle Kerry Katona, will take the fundraisers through Latchford, Padgate, Orford and Central Warrington.
Kerry said: "I am delighted to be involved with the St Rocco's Starlight Walk and proud that I have been asked to start the event.
"I hope that everyone will dig deep to sponsor the walkers. I visited St Rocco's recently and was so moved by the level of care provided by staff and volunteers to patients and their immediate families that I agreed immediately to support the hospice wherever and whenever I can."
The world-famous Blackpool Illuminations have also given their support to the Starlight Walk by heading to Warrington to provide an illuminating start to the walk.
Their spectacular illuminations laser bus will provide a lighting display to greet walkers as they arrive and are even providing the famous switch for Kerry to start the walk.
