PLANS to convert a former fire station into a restaurant were being decided as the Warrington Guardian went to press.
The scheme to open the 160-seat licensed premises at the former Stockton Heath fire station, on London Road, were recommended to be approved by planning officers at the meeting last night, Wednesday.
The application had been postponed at the development control committee last month by councillors who were awaiting feedback from the council's highways department.
The property is currently offices.
The issue came before the committee after Stockton Heath Parish Council raised their objections to the development.
