LETS hope it's a sunny day when Stretton Walking Day takes place on Saturday, July 15.

The celebrations will begin with a service at St Mathew's Church, Stretton Road, at 11am and the handover of the annual rose queen.

The walking day procession will be led by Warrington Phoenix Drummer Band at 12pm.

A summer fete will be held at St Mathew's CE Primary School from 1-4pm.

Entertainment on the day will be provided by the Anderton School of Dance and Appleton Thorn Dance School as well as donkey rides, an inflatable gladiator combat game, a bar, fairground rides.

The final route has yet to be finalised by police.
