A NANTWICH beer took pride of place at a food sharing party to mark the start of the football World Cup in Germany.
Football fans Mark Perry and John Burke loaded their camper van with some of the North West's finest food and drink as part of a fans' food share party in Frankfurt, which was held during and after the tournament's opening match.
Items selected to represent the North-West included Black Cat and Pendle Witch beer from Nantwich's Paradise Brewery.
Lauren Coulman, from North-West Fine Foods, said: "As well as a first-class football team, England produces some of the finest food in the world.
"The local fans enjoyed the high quality and superior taste of our regional and local foods during and after the game."
