DETECTIVES in Crewe are appealing for help after a woman was sexually assaulted in the town earlier this month.
The 21-year-old woman was walking home alone in the early hours of June 3 after a night out on Friday evening, when she was attacked by a man.
Investigating the incident Detective Mark Cook said the woman was walking in an alleyway to the rear of Maxwell Street when the incident happened.
He added: "The man is described as a white male with a pale complexion.
He was around 5ft 8ins or 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark hair, possibly shaven. He was wearing dark trousers and a dark short-sleeved t-shirt.
"We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything at the time."
Anyone who can help should contact DC Cook at Crewe's Specialist Investigation Unit on 01244 613345.
