A CREWE man who sexually assaulted two teenagers and violently raped a third woman just hours later will be eligible for parole in six years.
Chester Crown Court heard that Jamie Hogan, aged 21, of Brookhouse Drive attacked a 19-year-old and 16-year-old schoolgirl within minutes of each other before brutally raping a 24-year-old as she walked home from a night-out in Crewe.
Although Hogan was jailed for life on Monday, he could be released on parole as early as 2012 under the terms of his sentence.
Prosecutor Matthew Dunford told the court that Hogan first struck at 11pm on February 25 as a 19-year-old girl walked along Nantwich Road.
He followed the girl past Danebank Avenue and, as she drew level with an alleyway, he grabbed her and pushed her against a wall.
Hogan put his hands under her clothes and although she pushed him away, he pursued her and grabbed her in the chest and thigh areas.
She sought refuge with passer-by Paul Driscoll, who has been put forward for a Crown Court commendation for his actions.
Minutes later, also in Nantwich Road, Hogan grabbed a 16-year-old schoolgirl from behind, pushed her into a hedge and put his hands down her trousers.
The girl pushed Hogan away and ran home, although the court heard she cannot go out alone and still has nightmares.
Two hours later, the court heard Hogan brutally raped a 24-year-old in the Mill Street area.
Mr Dunford told the court: "She walked down a path behind Wickes and the defendant was there.
"He was staring at her and the next thing she recalls is being on the ground. She managed to kick him but he kept grabbing her and mauling her.
"She tried to climb up a soil embankment but he grabbed her ankles and pulled her down. She thought he was going to kill her.
"He removed her lower clothing and banged her head repeatedly against the concrete ground.
"He put his full weight on her and put his hand over her mouth.
"He said 'you're going to like this' and raped her."
The woman escaped and 'ran for her life' across Mill Street.
Patrick Thompson, defending, said: "The rape can only be described as every woman's nightmare.
"This defendant has no previous convictions and wouldn't wish me to excuse his behaviour.
"He has brought upon himself the worst kind of shame because these people are reviled by society - other prisoners regard him as the lowest of the low."
Judge Elgan Edwards said: "On that night you terrified two young women and within four hours you raped a third lady, dragging her down an embankment and using considerable violence against her."
Hogan was also sentenced to five years for each of the sexual assaults and was placed on the sex offenders' register and disqualified from working with children.
