PARENTS and pupils at St Augustine's Primary School ditched their cars for a day to raise funds for the school.
The school organised a sponsored walk to school day as part of the National Walk to School week and encouraged families to leave their cars at home for the day and make the trip to school on foot.
When the children arrived for classes they were rewarded with the offer of a healthy breakfast with tasty treats, such as fruit.
The walk aims to raise money for the school's project to create a garden for the children and more than £400 has been raised so far.
