WOLVES have informed two players that they will be released at the end of 2006 but have vowed to bring more 'top class signings' to the club next season.

The signing of Adrian Morley meant that someone had to leave to free up a 20/20 spot and both Mark Hilton and Danny Lima will not have their contracts renewed, with Lima available for loan with immediate effect, although fellow prop Chris Leikvoll will be offered a new deal.

Paul Cullen and club benefactor Simon Moran have also spoken of their determination to add more key additions to the squad for Super League XII after expressing their delight at capturing Morley.

Moran said: "I'm very pleased we've signed Adrian Morley - he's a world class player. There's not that many of them and he's English as well.

"We are really looking at getting more players in now. This won't be the end of the top class signings for next year.

"We've got ideas of what we'd like, mainly regarding players in England."

Cullen, who last week expressed concern that he did not have enough leaders in his squad, added: "Adrian's character will be a benefit to us and his skills as a rugby league player are a bonus.

"He's a born leader of men, leads from the front and is an iconic player of his generation.

"I don't think Adrian Morley's going to wait around for anyone else to try to win him a game of rugby league.

"We intend to bring in more players of international standing for 2007 and beyond, and also intend to offer a contract to Chris Leikvoll.

"Unfortunately those who will make way for Adrian Morley next year will be Mark Hilton and Danny Lima.

"Mark may retire and teach next year, although that will be his individual decision.

"Danny will move on and will be looking for a contract at another club, so we will offer the facility for him to go out on loan so he can secure his long-term future.

"We feel we need to promote from within. We've got Steve Pickersgill, Andy Bracek and Ben Harrison all busting their gut in the under 21s and Michael Cooper is on board in a full-time capacity from this week onwards."

Stuart Reardon will return to the starting line-up for Sunday's home game against Wakefield, kick-off 3pm, after recovering from a dead leg.

Simon Grix may challenge Chris Bridge for the scrum half spot after two tries at Harlequins on Saturday, while Rob Parker could be available for the July 2 trip to Castleford after being given clearance to resume contact training following an operation on a shattered cheekbone.
