FOUR gifted musicians stole the show when they made their debut at an open-air concert.
The brass players, pupils from Moore Primary School, were invited to join Frodsham Silver Band at the newly-restored bandstand at Runcorn Hill Park.
"The boys are excellent players who will certainly be in Frodsham Silver Band by the end of the year," said conductor Norman Denaro, who gives weekly brass tuition to 13 boys at the school.
The boys won rapturous applause after performing two pieces for a packed audience at the first of a series of summer concerts.
Headteacher Jan MacDonald, said: "The boys were very excited about the afternoon and now can't wait to take part in the Christmas concert.
"Mr Denaro is fantastic with the children and giving them opportunities to play with a senior band is something special."
The school has its own band, led by Mr Denaro, with more than 30 children playing a range of musical instruments.
