THE man who will run the Round Winsford Event later this month is appealing for more people to take part and raise money for charity.
The Run For Fun will take place on June 25 at Knights Grange Sports Complex but concerns have been raised it is not being supported as well as in previous years.
Organiser Gary Steele said: "For whatever reason we have not had as many people come forward this year and I don't really know why.
"It is a great event and raises a lot of money for charity so I can't understand it."
There will be a nine-mile run for fitter people and a four-mile walk for people who want to raise money in a more leisurely way.
Gary, who is chairman of Leighton Hospital Prostate Cancer Support Group, said: "The main thing is everyone coming down and enjoying themselves and raising money for a charity of their choice.
"We really need people's support because it was a great success last year and I want to build on that."
Apart from the run and walk there will be entertainment throughout the day for all the family.
Gary said: "Even if you don't want to take part in the run then I would still ask people to come along and support what we are doing.
"The money raised will do an awful lot of good and I'm sure there are people out there who would like to take part but haven't come forward yet."
