A NEW shop has opened in Northwich to cater for people who like clothes that are a little bit different.

Vintage Vamp, based in the Mid Cheshire Antiques and Art Centre, sells vintage clothes and accessories as well as quirky collectors' items.

Sally Hardy, 45, of Beswicks Road, Northwich, who is a joint partner of the shop with Carol Mason and Eileen Turner, said: "We wanted to open a shop that is completely different and fill a niche in the market.

"I don't think there's anything else like this in Northwich.

"We've been gathering items for months and have travelled to France to get things as well. It's not necessarily cheaper over there, but it's very different and that's what we're most interested in."

The shop currently has just three members of staff but if successful in the centre they will be able to buy their own premises and expand.

Sally added: "The items we sell are very much about personal choice and we just hope that our customers will like everything as much as we do."
