I AM glad Vale Royal Borough Council has let tax payers know what the situation is with regard to the Northwich town infilling (Guardian, June 7).
One thing puzzles me though. Why has it waited so many weeks to repudiate my claim?
Why wasn't this amount of coverage given then?
A rebuttal by a councillor of my original claim did appear the following week, but nothing of any significance was claimed.
It did, however, show a concrete truck offloading concrete down a manhole!
On a further issue, some weeks ago a lobby group of council employees and councillors went off to London to seek funding for the proposed new bridge over the Weaver to link up with Leicester Street.
This bridge is crucial to any future development of the town. My question is, has the money from the Government been promised, or is this yet another vision?
