OVER recent years, people have become accustomed to the feeling that our elected representatives do not represent their views. This is especially the case where the European Union is concerned: over 50% of people now feel that the EU is a bad thing for Britain, but until recently only one of our MPs agreed.
Your readers may be interested to hear, then, about the Better Off Out campaign (betteroffout.co.uk).
We are a non-party organisation committed to making the positive, constructive case for Britain leaving the EU.
Whilst we are happy to trade with our European neighbours, we are keen to see Britain trade globally, too.
There is a clear opportunity for Britain to take advantage of the economic opportunities currently on the horizon, and missing out on those opportunities can only cost us jobs and income.
Membership of the EU, which restricts trade with the outside world, severely threatens that positive future.
Thousands of people nationally have joined the campaign, distributing a quarter of a million leaflets in the last month alone. Slowly but surely, our representatives are coming round, too.
With the help of your readers, and the millions of others who agree, we can build a positive future for the UK as a nation trading with the whole world.
