I WAS amazed to read that Knutsford traffic warden Julia Short believes drivers are not as badly behaved as they used to be (Warden hands out warnings, June 7).
My impression, albeit a subjective one, is that contraventions of the parking regulations are indeed more commonplace nowadays and at times it appears that double-yellow line restrictions are treated more in breach than observance.
I defer to Mrs Short's experience but a 70% reduction in parking tickets compared with 10 years ago 'just does not feel right.'
I would be interested what other readers think.
