ROADSIDE surveys start next week as part of an extensive traffic study paving the way for the second Mersey crossing.
Drivers will be asked a series of simple questions related to their journey.
Halton Council is making every effort to keep disruption to a minimum but warns drivers to expect some delays.
Mersey Gateway project director Steve Nicholson said: "It will take drivers seconds to answer but their help will ensure the Mersey Gateway is built as quickly as possible."
Drivers asked to return a survey by post will be entered into a prize draw to win £500.
The second crossing was approved earlier this year when the Government pledged £209m funding.
