CELEBRITY vet Steve Leonard, pictured left, helped Stapeley Water Gardens raise a staggering £1,225 for Greyhound Rescue West of England at a family fun day.
Steve was the main attraction at the event and judged a spectacular parade of rescued greyhounds which included Heather, who carried the famous Baton Bone.
The day also included a presentation by the Allsorts Dog Display Team and a bird of prey demonstration by Cheshire Waterlife.
The Meet the Keepers and feeding of the animals at the Palms Tropical Oasis proved extremely popular with the crowds.
Steve took great delight in handling and feeding the animals and sharing his experience with a captivated audience.
The fun day was organised to celebrate Greyhound Rescue West of England's 10th anniversary.
The charity's regional homing officer Sue White is pictured right with Ozzie, a greyhound who has been successfully re-homed.
