WORLD Cup waste is the focus of this year's 'Big Recycle'.
Warrington Borough Council wants football fans to make sure they don't just throw away cans, bottles and food packaging.
Environment chiefs hope the message will help the town raise its recycling rate of 18 per cent.
Clr Brian Axcell, board member for recycling, said: "It is everyone's responsibility to recycle more."
The Big Recycle is a national campaign held every year.
Green garden waste bins and blue paper bins are available to use and Recycling and Household Waste Centres are at Gatewarth, Woolston on New Cut Lane and Stockton Heath on Sandy Lane.
