DOG litter bins will be phased out as an expensive environmental danger.
The concentrated dog muck will soon be classed as 'hazardous waste'.
It currently costs around £15 per tonne to dispose of - new Government legislation making it hazardous waste will raise that to hundreds of pounds.
Warrington Borough Council has decided the most cost-effective solution is to use bins for both dog and normal litter.
The council has been told 'co-mingling' the waste will not create a hazard.
Existing bins will be replaced by universal ones, with logos to show they are used for both types of waste. Normal bins are only around a quarter as expensive to install.
